At [ree-sheyp] your story, LLC, we accept that the arts are a powerful vehicle for personal discovery and growth for people of all ages. We also know through a growing body of research that the arts can strengthen social & emotional learning along the human lifespan. We act on this knowledge by offering facilitated expressive art experiences for at-risk children & youth and the organizations laboring to serve them.
Youth-serving organizations benefit when young people, front line staff, managers, and leaders have a deep comprehension of their own interior worlds and sensitivity to the feelings and perspectives of others. This understanding is the foundation for social and emotional learning (SEL) core competencies of self-awareness, social awareness, relationship skills, self-management, and responsible decision making . These abilities are essential for humans to flourish personally and professionally.
Everything we do is informed by two frameworks: Harvard Graduate School of Education's, Project Zero Framework of Studio Thinking and the CASEL SEL Framework. These evidence-based models provide concepts and tools to ensure that art-based learning experiences are developmentally impactful.
